To all members and participants

We have the honour to write to you as co-Chairmen of the Group of Experts on Aviation Safety, Security and Assistance (GEASA) to invite you to participate in the Fifth GEASA meeting.

This 3-day meeting will be held from December 5th to December 7th 2005 at the Hotel Charleston Cartagena (Claustro de Santa Teresa ) , located in Cartagena, Colombia. Information on this hotel can be found on the Internet at http://www.hotelescharleston.com/cartagena. You may contact the Hotel by telephone at +57 (5) 6 64 94 94 or by fax at +57 (5) 6 64 94 48. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority will be providing interpretation services to and from English and Spanish.

It is our hope that GEASA will benefit from your continued participation as it moves forward with its goal of contributing to the enhancement of civil aviation safety and security. Once again, we invite you to extend the invitation to industry members within your own Civil Aviation Authority.

We continue to believe that GEASA offers a fresh format that could be used to facilitate the development of many civil aviation projects throughout the hemisphere. It is our hope that at this next meeting we will have the opportunity to facilitate projects that impact your country directly. It would be important that details of such projects be forwarded to us in advance or brought to the meeting. Please note that we can only pursue funding sources for well-designed and fully explicated projects.
